Re: What are you Reading? July, 2016

I have so many books to read on my Kindle that are begging to be read, but I started T. Greenwood's The Forever Bridge. I'm loving it and I'm glad I'm reading it before I get to the ones I've been anxiously waiting for.

Has anyone read T. Greenwood's books? I've read several of them and each one seems better than the one before. I think her books are very underrated!

Hi everyone.  Just a quick note for the lovers of author TANA FRENCH.  She has a new book coming out in August called THE TRESPASSERS.  The release date is Aug 11 according to Goodreads.

LOUISE PENNY'S A GREAT RECKONING is due out in August as well.

Two great authors that I always look forward to.  Happy reading.  LM

October 4th per Amazon for the French.

Looking forward to the next Louise Penny - although I have a love/hate thing with her books.  I preordered it back in April!  LOL

I read Ordaniary Grace and really enjoyed it (have recommended it to severall friends, too!).  Since then, I've listened to 3 other of his books on tape (Iron Lake, Bopundary Waters, Purgatory Ridge).  They have been equally good.   And I appreciate being able to download them directly on my phone (from the loacl public library) without ever leaving my easy chair.

Reading The Devil in Jerusalem.  I can't remember who it is by, but it is pretty good. I am waiting to get The Black Widow by Daniel Silva at the library.

[ Edited ]

Finished Heart of Glass an autobiography by Wendy Lawless thanks to her giveaway on Goodreads.  Now I have to read her first one Chanel Bonfire which I intended to read first but didn't work out that way.

Going to read Beth Harbison's A Shoe Addict's Christmas, another GR giveaway.

I finished Relic (Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child) and can't understand how there are any 5 star reviews on Amazon (63%),  It's about a biologically created monster loose in the basement of the Museum of Natural History.  I remember seeing the movie years ago.  I'm not sure why I finished the book, but I would give it a solid two stars.

Chihuahuamom, I just read "THE BLACK WIDOW" last week and it was very good.  I thought it was one of his best books.  It is over 500 pages long, but it goes very fast.  Fans of the series will enjoy this one.

Re: What are you Reading? July, 2016

I have never read anything by Emma Straub but picked up her book Modern Lovers while I was in the library the other day. It looks interesting but for some reason I could not get into it. I tried about three times, maybe I was in the wrong mood.
