Re: What are you Reading? April 2019

So much for Jennifer Chiaverini's Resistance Women.  It was a heavy book focusing on Germany in the Hitler regime.  Couldn't get past 59. Plus it was close to 600 pages and I only read 59 pages in 3 days.  That should've told me something.

Onto something lighter -- Camille DiMaio's The Beautiful Strangers.

I just finished Cottage by the Sea by Debbie Macomber.  It was very good but very predictable as to how all the side stories would end.  She's one of my favorite authors.

FYI The new Robert Crais Elvis Cole/Joe Pike book, A Dangerous Man will be out June18th. My library has 491 holds but I think they have 40 copies, so, not too bad.

Just finished The Persian Gamble by Joel Rosenberg. It was a good read. He writes things that are so true to life that they could really happen.  (a little scary). .

I don't care what people's politics are here and I'm posting this as what I see as a public service so I hope it doesn't get poofed:

Amazon already has two versions of The Mueller Report on its bestseller list.

The Mueller Report is available for free on line.  No one has to pay for it.

My local library has ordered copies of the report. I don't know why anyone would pay for the report when it's available for free.

I'm about to start "NEON PREY," the new book by John Sandford, in his Lucas Davenport series.

@smoky22 - I liked the new Alexander McCall Smith book about the Swedish detective.
