lori, I really don't see how there can be a sequel when we know from the letters how it all ended. It must be a whole list of new characters.

I am "odd one out" on "One Thousand White Women"! Everyone here seemed to love it. I really disliked it!👎🏻
Nah @skyblue you're not odd one out. I've heard others who weren't crazy about it either. Honestly, I never thought I'd like it. Boy was I surprised when I found myself reading in the middle of the night!
I don't read James Patterson or Danielle Steel. Others go crazy over their books. It's what makes the world go round

We are in agreement on those authors, @sunala! I am not a fan either.
That's why I like this forum. So many different authors to explore!😃

@Judaline, ask him! This is how I found out about the sequels, that it's meant to be first book of a trilogy. If you look down you will see recent posts and he seems to answer everyone.

I did not like the book at first because I thought it was utterly implausible. Ready to PTB, I poked around and couldn't find anything that said it couldn't have happened and didn't happen. So I went back to it and loved it.

Have just finished BITTER RIVER by Julia Keller. Really enjoyed that and hope to read more in her series. Now I have started ME BEFORE YOU by Jojo Moyes. I have already read AFTER YOU, but wish I had read the other one first.

@tansy, I loved this trilogy. Sunny started a thread about this book which has spoilers in it as I recall. Check it out and add your comments when you are finished. LM

I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books, @Lilysmom. I'll check out Sunny's thread. Thanks.

I just read two books by Margaret Coel: Blood Memory and Perfect Suspect. They are mysteries set in Denver. The main character is a female investigative reporter for a major newspaper. They were both fast-paced with interesting plots and characters. I recommend reading them in order because some aspects of the first book are given away as background in the second. I have read 14 books in the last six weeks and these are the only ones worth recommending.
I have previously recommended Coel's Wind River Mystery Series books. They are wonderful. These are not part of that series.

Alter Ego,
yikes! I have those 2 books on hold! Thanks for the warnings!
I just finished reading:
Another "ok" book. It's about a 10 year old murder BUT written "backwards" - 2 weeks out to the day after the story and ends 3 months out. And within the chapter, it kept moving around from 10 yrs ago to whatever the heck day it was, I didn't know what I was reading!

I pulled the bookmark on I'm Thinking of Ending Things, by Iain Reid. I read several pages and it didn't seem like a book I'd enjoy.
Instead, I started The Last Mile by David Baldacci, the 2nd book of the Amos Decker series. I loved it from the first page! Amos Decker is a very interesting character. I loved the first book and look forward to this one.
Happy reading!
