Harlem Redux by Persia Walker.  I had never heard of this author before.  I saw her name on Goodreads and decided to give her a try.  I like this book very much.

Reminder to Liane Moriarty fans (and I'm one, bigtime), her newest, "Nine Perfect Strangers," which takes place in a spa retreat, will be released on Tuesday.  I hope my mailman comes early...it's a great day to shut the tv and read.

@LoriLori  I'm not a die hard fan of Liane Moriarty (she's hit or miss for me) but this one does sound interesting and I have it on waitlist.  Unfortunately, there are 40 people ahead of me.  Will be interested in your review.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU READING? ~ NOVEMBER 2018 ~

I just read the cutest book, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.  It's a British romantic-comedy called "MUTTS AND MISTLETOE" by Natalie Cox.  It would make an adorable movie.  A woman who knows nothing about dogs comes to help out her cousin at her pet resort over Christmas.  Naturally, the cousin is called away and the heroine has to deal with all these pets herself, getting into all kinds of situations.  And of course, there's a hunky vet living close by to help.  Very light and frothy, but I really enjoyed it.

Currently reading THE POSTMISTRESS by Sarah Blake. I had won it in a giveaway several years ago and it's been sitting on my bookshelf since. 100 pages in and it seems to be a little slow to develop. Anyone else read this? Is it worth sticking with?

I found this book at a Free Little Library and decided I'll try it though it's not my usual type of read.  I couldn't finish it.  It was very slow!

I was looking forward to it since it my favorite genre, historical fiction, but its looking like a disappointment. I'll stick with it a little longer. I have such a hard time giving up on books once I start!

I do like certain types of historical fiction but this was not one of them I guess I was trying to say.

@smoky22with the single exception of her last, "Truly Madly Guilty," I love her.  She's my favorite, I think maybe my only, chick lit author writing now, although she does weave social issues throughout.

Which ones were hits for you, which ones misses?  Have you read her first, 'Three Wishes?"  I love that one, it's one of my faves.

(I always pick your brain LOL, answer or not, as you wish, of course.)
