@dawg lover Anthony Horowitz is a gem! I've read several of his books. How talented he is. I'll check out his new one. Go Dawgs!

@smoky22 , I think you should make an exception on this one and watch the series. Margaret Atwood was directly involved in the production which is probably why it is so well done. LM

Hello, Summer, by Mary Kay Andrews. Big city in the day of digital non-stop news reporting looses job and goes home to small town in Florida. Her families paper does not even have old issues on a computer still in big bound volumes for research. And the tea party at the country club is still reported on and who wore what. Great book for winding down a hot summer.

Last night, I finished The Long Way Home by Louise Penny. It's book 10 in her mystery series. This book just seemed odd - majority was about the search for 1 of the Three Pines characters who disappeared, not much action until the last few chapters then it seemed rushed to wrap it up. All of the talk about his paintings and muses got a bit boring for me but I never cared for the missing character so that could taint my opinion that I didn't care if he was alive or not. I did enjoy the descriptions of the different locations they traveled to during the search. I can tell when a book doesn't thrill me when it takes longer than normal to finish it. In the evenings when I had free time to read, I found myself watching more tv reruns vs picking up this book. Overall, just an ok book and will continue on with the series. I know other books in her series held my attention more that I eagerly looked forward to finishing them.

I just finished Daddy;s Girls by Danielle Steel, her books for me are always a hit or miss, I enjoyed this book. Nice story line, about 3 sister coming together learning to forgive, and accept their differences!

I am reading The Guest List by Lucy Foley. I had a little trouble sorting out characters at first. Now I am hooked on the plot.
Loved The Lions of Fifth Avenue by Fiona Davis! Lots of twists and turns in this one.
