I have not read The Women yet.  Nice to see a story that is NOT about WW1 or 2.  Those were good but for me are getting old.

We are also a county of readers! Ours has 965 on the wait list and it has been out for a few weeks. Granted, there are 460 hard copies available as well as audio and digital (which have even longer lists).  I am finishing it now - it is fabulous and I hate to put it down. I will be sad when it ends.

I am assuming that is her name for a Library Hold on the book.

I was lucky and was the first to read the book when it came out at my library.  I flew through that book in just a couple of days, it was so good.

@1Snickers  I see this is an old thread I missed last year but I wanted to express my condolences on your husband's death from Agent Orange. Our veterans and their families make great sacrifices for all of us which often go unseen and unappreciated.

I know I speak for many when I say, "Thank you so much for your family's service and ultimate sacrifice."

@nevergivesup   Thank you for your condolences.  So many Military wives and husbands who wait for their partners return felt unappreciated during the Vietnam war.
My husband did his duty and he even prepaid and arranged his funeral. His casket had an American flag inside the top. I was unaware until I saw it.
