I literally just finished * The Secret Mother* by Shalini Boland. The story is about a woman who comes home to find a little boy playing in her kitchen, and goes on from there. It was called a psychological thriller, but I don't know that I necessarily see that. You may think differently if you decide to read it. It was a pretty good read anyway. I had just signed in to add to the March reading thread and saw your post.. Hope you'll find some great reads from all of the posts here! pinky

This sounds so good. I just put a hold request on this book from my library. I can’t wait to read it! It is very popular so I will need to wait 9 weeks for it!

I love John Grisham but hated The Reckoning. I felt like he'd just gone to history books and cut and pasted text.

I agree about The Reckoning! My husband and I listened to it on Audible for 17 hours!!!!! I wish I had read reviews before we started on that one!

Thank you, everyone, for all of these suggestions! I have made a list and will look into all of them. My daughter always says I only like books and movies with murders or kidnappings. A bit of an exaggeration but I think she is kind of right!

Karin Slaughter
Tess Gerritsen
