There's 11 holds at the library here for The Glass Castle

The Glass Castle

by Jeannette Walls

New movie out, advertising on t.v., with Woody Harrelson in it.  I guess I'll get to read it next year about this time.

That book has been out for sometime, I guess the movie sparked new interest. It is very good.

Excellent book; one of my (and DH and DS's) all time favorites.  Why don't you buy it used (on Amazon and Amazon Unlimited has it for no cost).

I read that a long time ago, the movie should be good. There is another book that goes with it, Half Broke Horses, that is also good.

@jackthebear Neighborhood bookclub just read it. Two ladies are going to movie this Friday. Subject matter affects everyone differently -- depending on their childhood experiences. I'm not going to movie.

I saw the previews for the movie and was kind of intrigued by it...I never even heard of the book.

I went on-line and googled the book to see what the storyline was.  Wow...I got an "eyeful!" ha!  It was very long and drawn-out and frankly, did depress me!  I still may go and see the movie, though.  Something about it is drawing me in!

That's one book I won't forget.  Some people mentioned it in the thread of books they didn't bother to finish, which boggles my mind.  I read her next book and was captivated.
