Re: The Traveling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa

@smoky22, the book is wrapping itself around your heart.  It won't ever let go.  Nana and Satoru and the other characters including the dogs and kitten and cats...so beautiful.

I knew it would grab you, it just took a little longer.  He had me from sitting on the bonnet and complaining about what Satoru was feeding him.  A stray with major catitude.

EVERYONE should buy this book.  It's a pity it's not published here.

@LoriLori - I have been resisting temptation, but I just can't take it anymore.  The book was on sale today at Book Depository at 22% off - $9.70 - so I bought it.  I figured if Lori feels this strongly about a book, I have to read it.  Now, I just have to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive!

@dawg lover, I'm so excited!!!!   You won't be sorry.  @smoky22's really liking maybe loving it now and she's not yet at the end.

Just one thing:  It can take more than two weeks, especially with a Federal holiday.  For me they seem to always take three.

@Judaline, have you gotten yours yet or is it still in that llittle teeny boat BD UK puts it in and puts out to sea for the first part of the journey?

@dawg lover  I'm glad you're getting it.  I thought mine came really fast  and $9.70 is exactly what I paid.  Mine is a paperback and I thought @LoriLori made a comment that indicated hers was not a paperback (not sure).  I love the illustrations in the book.

I took a little break from it to read something else, mainly because I don't want to get to the end yet.  Hope you get your copy quickly.

@smoky22, mine is the paperback and I just checked, there's only one edition.  I didn't find the print small, but that's me.  I read a lot of it without my reading glasses.

@LoriLori  I finished the book and it's everything you said.  I gave my review in the monthly book thread just so more people would see it.  Thanks so much for recommending it. Heart

@smoky22, it's an understatement to say it's my pleasure.  I read your lovely review and put my infomercial underneath it LOL.  I'm so glad it met your expectations because I set the bar rather high!!!

I wish people would take the chance, it is such a beautiful book.

Wonder if the others that ordered it have it yet?

This book will never leave my heart.  Like "Ove."

@LoriLori  I got mine but as I said I have a couple books to read first-can't be renewed. I don't want to be rushed reading this so I am putting it aside to read at my leisure.

@Judaline. I didn't know you got it.  And yes, that's the joy of owning books, you can read it whenever.  How long did it take to get to you?  Did you get a good bookmark?

Re: The Traveling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa

@LoriLori  I guess it took about 10 days. It's a sturdy book, almost a hard cover but not quite. It even has a fly leaf. My bookmark is of a dog and the word Kipper. Would you believe my family had a dog named Kipper? Eerie.

The print is a little small but I've read books before with this size.
