@Nonametoday, you may also enjoy "A Touch of Stardust", also by Kare Alcott.

It takes place around the main character's life during the filming of "Gone With The Wind" & the romance of Clark Gable & Carole Lombard.

i just love that book & movie too so I really enjoyed this fictional account of "behind the scenes".

happy reading!

@beckyb1012 & @Nonametoday.   Thought I'd add that I also really enjoyed Kate Alcott's second book:  "The Daring Ladies of Lowell".

This story centers around a farm girl who leaves home for goes to work at one of the Lowell, MA textile mills in the early 1800's.

Just started this series even though my library does not have all but am enjoying them anyway.  Emily March Eternity Springs Series

Product Details#1  with 11 total

Also am on #2 of the below and picking up #3 this afternoon

The Governess of Highland Hall: A Novel (Edwardian Brides)

The Daughter of Highland Hall: A Novel (Edwardian Brides)

A Refuge at Highland Hall: A Novel (Edwardian Brides)Carrie Turansky, (Edwardian Brides)
Usually have about 12 to 16 checked out each week and stacked next to my stationary bike and couch, for hours a day of reading.  Love it.  Let me know what you recommend.  Thomas Kinkaide's series Cape Light is still going and I read them every Christmas.  There are about 14 I think.

Re: Thank you for "the Dressmaker" by K Alcott

What a great selection of suggestions, @beckyb1012; thank you!

Wish I knew how to post book photos because I admit I can be swayed by book jacket art work into getting a book I might not usually go for. 🙂

I'm just finishing up "The Lake House" by Kate Morton.

It's very good, tho her first book "The House at Riverton", I just loved.

at the same time, I've got "First Women" by Kate Anderson Brower about First Ladies from Jackie Kennedy thru Michelle Obama going.

So far so good w/this one.

happy reading!  You are a reading hero w/checking out 12-16 books a week! 🌻

Your most welcome.  Just right click on the photo on Amazon.com when the menu comes up highlight copy then go over to this box and right click again inside box and choose paste.  You will have to hit post a couple of times but it is really easy.

Also my favorite book of last year:

Product DetailsAllison Pataki, the daughter of Gov. Pataki.  All her books are great.
