I used to read hers religiously but I haven't read the last 2 or 3.  They are getting to be the same thing over and over again.  They don't make me laugh anymore.

Re: TURBO TWENTY THREE - Evanovich

I'm next in line to read it from my online library...being sent to my kindle app on my devices...

I did read the first two chapters on the internet and also read reviews on Amazon for it...

It really does sound like the same old stuff...I never pay for her books anymore...haven't since about 5 or 6...

I thought the 21st book should have been...TWENTY ONE AND DONE..lol...

But I still read them anyway...hoping they will get better...DW

Oh yes Mam!!  I found this series by accident on the new release section at the library not realizing it was #13.   I soon saw that it was a sequel but I continued on reading.  I was pleasantly surprised later that day when I discovered there were 12 before hand.  I read on my bike and that first read of hers I almost fell off a couple of different times I was laughing so hard.  Janet makes my daily crack of dawn bike riding go by in a blink of an eye.  Thanks for the update Tink!!

Yes, I'm on the waiting list at 2 different libraries.  I never buy books, always get them from the library.  Her books are getting too predictable and I'm hoping her new one has more Stephanie/Ranger.  For those of you who don't know, there is a site called fanfiction.net.  People write their versions of different authors/book.  You can find many stories on there about JE characters.  Excellent!

I am 60% through this book.  I do not find it a compelling read.  Toward the beginning of the book I found myself thinking it would be the last one of the series that I would read.  I am kind of tired of Lulu and the "ho" jokes.  And tired of Stephanie not being able to decide between the two men in her life.  The characters just seem stuck.  I'll see how I feel by the end of the book.

Well said re the "ho" jokes and Stephanie deciding between Joe & Ranger.

I saw on one of my book websites (probably Amazon) that #24 is coming out next year) and don't think I'll be putting it on my tbr list.

am reading it. I've heard so many people say it's the same ol', same ol'. Well, that's what I liked in the first place and if it continues the same I'll be glad. That being said!!!!! Too much Lula right off the bat. I mean, give it a rest, Lula. And you know what else? This one seems different. The same but different. I wonder if she let her daughter write some of it. Yes, we love Lula (and Janet knows this) but wow, don't shove her down our throats. And I can't see Joe and Steph getting any more serious-seems like animal attraction. That gets kind of old. But Grandma Mazur-don't ever change her. I am torn on these. Should I go on to 24? I probably will.

They are getting redundant for me.   I think 21 was the last I read  Yo babe was cute for awhile, and Morelli is a chauvinist pig IMO.  He hasn't got a clue since the first book. Neanderthal.   Lulu, well she speaks for herself.

The only books that are worse are Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swenson.  Leads these guys on, doesn't really want either, but doesn't want anyone else to have them.  I know she run off and married someone else, but I quit reading long before that so I don't know if they got better.
