Re: Stephen King's new book The Institute

Just started this book last night, and it is engrossing...can hardly put it down.  I never hesitate to read his books with children as the main characters, because he writes from their point of view quite well.  Being a retired upper elementary teacher, I recognize that kids truly do act and feel the way that he portrays.  He is such a masterful storyteller!  His characters have depth, and his writing style?  Always, always, engrossing.  I have always loved how he writes so that you know what the characters are feeling.  The negative side to a Stephen King book is that sometimes, I feel like his story goes off the rails toward the end of the book.

Re: Stephen King's new book The Institute

I read it about a month ago.

Gripping and pure King mastery of words.

There are political references but they are relative to the times we live in.

I agree with his views, so I guess I was giving thumbs up.

YMMV.

I'm on page 310 and can't stop. Phenomenal writing and story.
