Sophie Kinsella

[ Edited ]

Sophie.jpgShe was an author of the Shopaholic series of books which I haven't ever read.  I will read now Surprise Me from my local library.  May she rest in peace.

I did read about that yesterday and was sad to hear about it. She was 55 and had glioblastoma, a very aggressive brain cancer. Same thing one of our neighbors has but is fortunately still here.

I had read her book "Confessions of a Shopaholic," years ago. I remember it being funny, and a good well-written lighthearted read and I remember enjoying it very much. Three of her books were made into a movie-the first 2 Shopaholic books became the movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic."

Thank you for posting this and for mentioning another of her books.

I read about it yesterday as well and woke up thinking about her this morning.  Loved her books, may she rest now and prayers to her family.

I just heard about this, also!  So very sad.  She was so young!  I have read a couple of her books.

If i'm correct I heard she was diagnosed in April 2024.  I've read most of her shopaholic series.  She also wrote under her real name Madeline Wickham.  She only wrote one book under that name.

May she rest in peace.  55 is too darn young.
