Several years ago, I read Song of the Spirits by Sarah Lark. It was quite a saga; I was quite enthralled. I had checked it out from the library, but I loved it so much that I purchased my own copy.

The setting is New Zealand and concerns entanglements of families involved with the sheep trade. That might not sound appealing, but, believe me--this book has all the ingredients!

I was surprised to discover that what I had read was actually the middle book of a trilogy. Finally, years later, I'm finishing up the first novel. (Another saga that completely hooked me.)

Now, I am joyfully ordering the final book. In addition, I'm thrilled to discover that she's written other books.

(I must also credit D.W. Lovett, who translated the books from their original German.)

I highly recommend this series!

@insomniac2 , just checked my library and it appears the only copies are in Spanish and German.  LM

Lilysmom, does your library connect with other libraries in your state? I'm hoping so.

@insomniac2 , I live in Nova Scotia.  Our library connects with other libraries in our Municipality, but not the Province.  LM
