****SPOILER****
Yesterday I finished reading All the Time in the World by Caroline Angell. I enjoyed it very much, but I just don't understand the very ending.
It was kind of all explained in one long sentence, and I don't understand what happened. I put a **spoiler** warning in the title and I hope people will see it.
My question is, did Charlotte have some sort of wedding ritual/ceremony with one of the brothers? If so, which brother? I have to know!
Thanks!

I may have to write to the author and ask her what she meant at the end! It wasn't phrased in a way that I understood. Wish me luck!

I wrote to the author and she was gracious enough to write back immediately. She explained exactly what I was confused about. It's so hard to believe that this exceptionally well-written book is her first book. It was so good, and it's still living inside my mind.
I highly recommend this book!!

Do you think the author might worry that other readers may be confused? The final sentences were probably carefully written yet still weren't clear.

@AuntG I can't really say what the author thinks, but she explained it to my satisfaction. I wouldn't have been able to figure it out if she didn't explain, and then suddenly it made total sense to me.
Yes I do think it was confusing, otherwise I wouldn't have actually written to the author, who was very sweet and thanked me profusely for writing to her.
I really recommend this book!

@sunala, thank you for the recommending this book ... The public library does not have it listed nor does it state that the book is on order ... so I will check my library book store. I read a few reviews on it and it seems to be a book that I could keep in my car and read when I am waiting for my GD to get out of school.

@mzlg I hope you'll be able to get it! Good luck.

Because you didn't understand the end, it seems that part wasn't written well .
It's great the author answered your questions, and you enjoyed the book .

@nomless you are correct. I don't think that sentence (which was pivotal) was written in a clear manner. I read it over a dozen times and it still didn't make sense. After I asked her and she explained it, it still didn't make sense. This is her first book, so I'm hoping this was just a weak sentence (albeit an important one) and that there are more wonderful books to come.
