I'm looking for "clean" fiction. I don't like violence, offensive language or gratuitous sex. Thanks for your suggestions!

I read a series years ago At Home in Mitford by Jan Karon. I enjoyed the series quite a bit.

Try the "Wonder Boy of Whistle Stop " by Fannie Flagg .  It is funny and sweet.

Check your library for books by Anita Stansfield. I haven't read any of her works but my sister has and really likes them.

Garden Girls Cozy Mysteries is a good series and so are the Dekker mysteries. Both clean and really fun reads.

Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate. A fictionalized story of poor children who are placed in an orphanage without their parents' consent in 1939 with an alternate storyline of a young woman in present time investigating her grandmother's mysterious past.

The Mitford series is great. I especially like "Shepherds Abiding".

I believe Tracey Petersen (son ?) and J. Oakey write Christian themed fiction...you may find these authors enjoyable...a nice readable story

For light reading, I like most anything by Debbie Macomber.

A wonderful old book called "Now, Voyager" by Olive Higgins Prouty is an insightful look at a difficult mother/daughter relationship. Prouty has books of other characters in the same family. An incredible performance by Bette Davis in the movie version of "Now, Voyager" is worth a look, too.
