I listened to the book rather than read. The audible included an author’s note that I found fascinating - did the book also include? I can’t remember everything she spoke about, but do remember that she discussed her reasoning for using particular grammar/phrasing. There was something that annoyed me throughout the novel, so I really appreciated that.
