Jackie Collins died at 77 of breast cancer.  She has been fighting it for 6 years or so.

She was one of my favorite authors and she will be missed.

RIP, Ms. Collins.

I'll have to reread the Lucky Santangelo series in your honor.

I just heard the sad news this morning. She had been diagnosed with stage four cancer six years ago. I hadn't heard. Did she keep it secret? She was one tough lady, a prolific writer who knew exactly what her many fans loved to read. R.I.P.

Only read one of her books, but she was a terrific writer.  She will be missed.  Sad for Joan.  Her little sister....

I think she did keep it a secret from what I read on People.com.

Sorry to hear that. I've not ready any of her books, but maybe I will now. Recommendations?

The Lucky Santangelo series:

Chances was the 1st published in 1982 and The Santangelos, is number 10 just released this past June 2015.  Wonderful books.
