That has, fortunately, never happened with any other book or series. I'm sorry I'm missing out on a great series but everything about it made me wish really hard someone could wave a wand and put me there.

I read a bunch of the Mitford books. I could see that. I'm a cold weather person (living in South Florida, sigh) -- Three Pines came off as idyllic to me. I'm glad you understand the feeling, I'm not sure some would.

When you read about further about it says that with the illustrations and pages with not very much on them it is really like reading a 300 page book

@lovescats I did look at the beginning and you're right. There are poems that stretch across pages with a lot of white space. Kind of intriguing.
