Murder On Lot B by London Lovett

Los Angeles, 1923. The land of movie stars and perpetual sunshine has a stylish new force to be reckoned with—Poppy Starfire, Private Investigator.

Poppy recently moved out on her own and is eager for a taste of independence and to prove to her retired Uncle Sherman that she is capable of running the Starfire Detective Agency. Her brother Jasper has also joined the agency. Poppy prides herself on being a skilled investigator but so far the cases have been scarce and, to say the least, uninspiring. But that all changes when Anna Colton walks through the door. Anna's brother Roger, a famous stuntman for the local movie studio, has died in a well-publicized accidental fall. Only Anna's not convinced it was an accident. It's up to Poppy and Jasper to peel away the layers and uncover the truth. Who killed Roger 'Rowdy' James?

Transport yourself back to the golden age of Hollywood with book 1 of London Lovett's brand new historical Starfire Cozy Mystery series.

Book 2, Murder at the Ostrich Farm (May 2019)

The Girl With the Pearl Pin by Lynne Connelly

As London’s most sought-after bachelor, the Duke of Leomore stuns society when he announces his engagement to a woman who has just been branded a thief. Yet as his painfully shy “bride-to-be” understands, it is merely a ruse until The Society for Single Ladies apprehends the true culprit—and a ploy to further delay Leo’s obligation to wed. For him, marriage will be a purely practical affair. Still, why does a stolen kiss with his faux fiancée conjure such tempting visions of romance?...

As if being falsely accused weren’t mortifying enough, Phoebe North is now the talk of the town. And while she knows Leo did the honorable thing to protect her reputation, she can’t help but long for more. It would be an impossible match given their unequal stations, and Leo has made his view of marriage quite clear. Yet his kiss and flirtatious ways say something else. If only she could persuade him of how delightful it would be to thumb their noses at convention—and become fools for love…

Cydonia Rising by Dave Walsh

The Emperor of the galaxy has fallen, slain at the hands of his own son.

Forced into exile, Katrijn was tasked with a mission sent to her by her father from beyond the grave: free the people of the Andlios Republic. Her biggest hurdle? First it's the assassins sent after her by the emperor. After years alone on the fringes of the galaxy, who will be there to help her dethrone the mad emperor and reclaim the throne. Then, it's dealing with her brother...

The Mad Emperor himself.

Katrijn must carve her own path forward, forging new alliances and swallowing her pride to take whatever help she can find along the way, no matter how... unconventional that help seems, even from sworn enemies.

If dethroning her deranged brother isn't hard enough, she's not the only one gunning for the throne, making it a deadly race to save the people of Andlios in this action-packed space epic.

@kcladyz - @Stargazer77 posts the Nook Free Friday book here. You can then go to the Barnes and Noble website and type the name of the book in "search." It will come up with the option to buy. You will see "free." You still have to check out, but it will not charge you.     Smiley Happy

@kcladyz We aren't allowed to post links here, otherwise I would link the book so people could just click in.  You can go to B&N's website and type the name of the book in the search bar, just make sure it says 0.00 when you checkout so you know you're not being charged anything.

What kind of Nook do you have?  I have a 1st generation Nook Simple Touch and love its design.  I've since moved on to a Kindle Paperwhite, but I still love the design of my Nook Simple Touch.
