Even though I got a new Paperwhite Kindle (the latest) a couple of weeks ago for $55 (rebates, etc.) I also ordered the Voyage when it was on sale last week and it is wonderful! The screen is better than this last Paperwhite, the type is crisp, love the buttons on the side to squeeze or tap as usual, and it is an ounce lighter--which you do notice when you read a long time.
I am hooked on this one. I think it is the best e-reader BY FAR.

@Sooner, do you literally squeeze the outside edges to turn the pages? I tried that on a demo but the page didn't turn. Otherwise, I was ready to upgrade from my original Paperwhite.

@Sooner, thanks for this review. I am going to be looking for an ereader and wondered about the newest. Glad you love it! LM

I'm in love with my new Voyage too. Don't know what took me so long. Lighting is even better than the paper white and I find the buttons on bezel quite easy to use.
I was was a little put off by just cover view of books thinking it made it harder to see the titles. My grandson found where the settings were to see them as a list. I usually do look at a cover before I start a book but just the book I'm reading. We also got an update which gave a few more font changes. I don't even have to think about changing the light if I don't want to. It is done for me. Just a real pleasure. So very light. I did not get the kindle cover but got one that opens like a book and weighs slightly over 3 ounces. A wonderful thing, this Voyage.

You can squeeze the edge, tap the screen or swipe. On the outside left and right edges, in portrait view, there are areas where your thumbs would rest and there is a little thin line in those areas--squeeze that lightly and pages turn. Above that is a dot and you can squeeze that and it will go back a page. This works on either size of the reader--so doesn't matter which hand you use!
I tap mostly, but I like this option very much. THe screen background is whiter and more even by quite a bit than any Paperwhite I've had. It has none of the shadows of the past on the lit screens.

I have had my Voyage for almost a year - it was an upgrade from an older version of the Kindle with the keyboard. I LOVE my Voyage and am so glad that I finally ordered it. I read and reread the reviews for months and always was hesitating about purchasing it and finally I went for it and it is the best reader ever!!!

Do all of your books transfer over? Also, what if you don't want them to? I've been thinking of buying either a Paperwhite or a Voyage. Do you feel the Voyage is way better than the Paperwhite?

You can choose which books you want to load on the device, but not sure if you can just transfer all of them at once.
I am older, so for me the Voyage is better because the screen is whiter and the type seems even more crisp than the Paperwhite, although they have the same pixle count. The Voyage is percetably lighter in weight so holding it for a long time is easier.
If price is a concern, they are both wonderful!
