I read the book by Bernie's daughter-in-law, Stephanie Madoff Mack: End of Normal; A Wife's Anguish, a Widow's New Life. I wasn't sure how much to believe, but I thought her to be quite sincere.  Then again, I wasn't sure how much to believe about anything Ruth said either, or her sons. They could have all been in on it, but maybe not. But then again, I'm very gullible and want to believe the best of people. No matter what was truth and what were lies, it's sad all the way around. 

 

I've watched the films made about him as well. I'm only aware of two; one with Richard Dreyfus as Bernie, and the recent one with Robert Deniro as Bernie and Michelle Pfeiffer as Ruth. I enjoyed them both very much.
