A few years ago, there were some complaints about providing too much information, commenting on spoilers. Some people don't want to know anything about a book, some not even reading the description provided on the back (which seems a little strange to me, but I'm not them.) Can't speak for everyone, but that's why I personally stopped including more detail.
I think most of the complaints were about posting cover art and taking up a lot of space. I agree that a blurb about plot is very helpful. I always skip the posts that only have a list of book titles. That kind of post tells me nothing.

I prefer posts that tell me something about a book, not just the title and author. As long as they don't give away the ending, as I don't want to know that . The poster can say if they liked or didn't like the ending, but I don't want it described to me.

I would much rather see a list of books with authors and see for myself if I am interested. I usually do not care if a poster gives their opinion as I have no idea what you like or dislike. Not here to read a synopsis just get some new books and authors.
I usually only post all the books I read from last time I posted to this month. It could be as many as 5 books. If I included a synopsis of each book I would be writing for a very long time.

But how would we know if we even wanted to read these books by these authors? I mean, give us a hint. Maybe something like, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier-Gothic suspense novel, considered a classic. That would perk my interest or would turn me off. But it's all I really need. And if I'm really interested? Google is my friend.

I read The Summer Seaside Kitchen by Jenny Colgan which is about Flora who fled Scotland to work in London. Work requires her to return to her hometown and many changes ensue. Jenny Colgan always writes a good story.
I also read Dead Jitterbug by Victoria Houston which is one in a series of murder mysteries that take place in a small town in the north woods of Wisconsin. I read this series because we vacation every year around the area that these books take place in so that makes it interesting to me.
I also read The Daddy Diaries by Andy Cohen. I picked it up because we were vacationing and I wanted something that I could read in small chunks without losing track of the story line. I really don't know why I even finished this book as it was boring. I don't know or care about any of the people that he constantly talks about and this was hardly about him being a father-it was more about his work and friends and partying. Unless you are really invested in all that Bravo stuff I don't recommend this book.

Unnecessary drama on the book forum of all places.
I assume that this comment was meant for me. Sometimes, I will write a little about a book that I have enjoyed or disliked. It really depends upon my time constraints.
If you have such a burning need to know, they do have this thing called Google, Goodreads, and Fantastic fiction to tell you about a book.
For the frustrated teachers. The book that I read and enjoyed The Vanishing Half, is written by a black author named Brit Bennett. It tells the story of two AA twin sisters, who grew up in a poor colored town named Mallard. The daughters were extremely fair and could easily pass for white. When the twin girls were older they decided to leave the small town that they had lived in since birth.
The book spans several decades, and tells the story of how the one decided to chose a life of passing for white. She had to cut all ties to her twin and mother to accomplish this. She ends up marrying a white man who never knew, and having a daughter that looks white. The other Twin sister returned to the town with her one child. I believe they described her child's color as being blue black. She ends up marrying a dark skin man, who beats her which is why she leaves him. Secrets can not be kept and the children end up intersecting years later.
Is this enough information about the book that I read? In the future, if I want to write about the book I will. If I don't have time I will not.
I let my annoyance get ahead of me on this one.
