Is "A Gentleman in Moscow" a difficult read?

My DM recommended to me ... I believe she said it was long. TIA

@MsCatLuver This came highly recommended from a colleague. I downloaded it and will begin it when I finish what I am currently reading.

@sassenach1  I heard it is an excellent story.  Again, just wondering if it is difficult to get through.

I started this book and read about 50 pages.  I wouldn't say it was a "difficult" read but I did not find it very interesting.  I'm use to more action in my books--I'm currently reading Michael Connolly!!--so it was too slow for me.

It's a very pleasant read. The words flow along nicely; it's such a unique plot that your attention stays focused.

(It's not a long book, either.)

I loved the book.  It's on my list of favorite books for last year.  I did find some parts slow, but overall it's a charming story.  And I absolutely loved the ending!

@kaydee50- I had the same problem although I didn't read 50 pages. I read a lot less, but found that my mind was wandering and I wasn't enjoying what I was reading. I didn't take it off my TBR list, but I'm not anxious to get back to it either.
