Re: I Need Something really scary.....

The Exorcist

Rosemary's Baby

Silence of the Lamb

In all instances I read the books first before the movies, and I have to say the books scared me more.  My imagination was on overdrive and I had the Hollywood special effects people beat!  Lol

I could never see that movie again!

Just reading the title gives me the creeps!!😱

Me too....I almost regretted watching it. Stayed on my mind for a looooong time afterwards.😳

I think I liked Red Dragon better than Silence of the Lamb. And I do remember when I first read 'Salem's Lot, and for days afterwards, I would clutch the crucifix around my neck at night when I'd let the dog out the black door. Of course I also loved reading Dracula.

John Sanford has quite a few thrillers that you might not want to read while home alone.

Re: I Need Something really scary.....

Thank you everyone!! I've made a list of your suggestions that I havent read and will be checking ebay out to get them!! I've rented a beach house for the next 2 months to spend a little time alone. I love the beach and get recharged by sand, sun and waves. Thought it would be fun to take some really scary books with me and y'all have given me some great ideas!! 🙂

@susielong @FranandZoe  I read this years ago.  The author's name stayed with me as I remembered a good read but I can't remember the storyline.  Time for another read!  LM

PS, Peter Straub has another one titled Shadowland that has very good reviews.  I just p,aced a hold at my library.
