Re: How do keep track of books

This is how I keep track of my reading list, all ebooks.

I purchase all my books from Amazon through BookBub. BookBub gets my reading parameters, and then sends me a list of recommended books under $2.99, and typically 99 cents... some are free... everyday to my email.

If I am interested in a book I will click the link to take me to Amazon, and right away it will tell me if I have purchased it.

Amazon keeps a list for me of all my books on my kindle that I have purchased, whether new, or already read. You can check by title, author, recent etc. This is really helpful if you are interested in a series.

I have hundreds of books on my kindle that are waiting for me. I read one, or two books a week.

I rarely buy hard copy books anymore unless they are art books, cook books etc.

Hope this helps.

Re: How do you keep track of books

I bought my friend a reading journal for Christmas last year and she loves it.  Did you ever forgot you already read a book? I have.  Not with this journal.  She has all her books listed and her opinion on the book.  I have to get myself one.

What is this reading journal that you posted about?  I don't have any list or anything of the books or authors that I have read and I have forgotten several times about books that I have already read and then I buy a duplicate.  It's a bit late for me to start trying to track them now but I would like to start if there is an easy way to do it.  I read actual books not e-books.  Thanks!

Re: How do you keep track of books

My one library has a book checked out feature, but not the other library.  I really should start a list of some kind, since at my advanced age, do not always remember all the books I have read.

@AngelPuppy1  the journal I ordered was on Amazon, but it is no longer available.  It was called Kunitsa Reading Journal.  I'm sure they have similar options.  She, and me, only read actual books as well.

For about a dozen years I have bought all my books on Amazon for Kindle so easy way to check there.  But this year I'm keeping a paper list just to track how many books I read this year.  So far I'm averaging 3 books a month.

Re: How do you keep track of books

I use Goodreads.  It's covers everything.  I look up a book I want to read to get a synopsis and look at the ratings.

It keeps track of the books I've read and those I want to read.  If you like a particular author you click on their name and you can see what other books they have written.  I really like it.
