Judging by Goodreads reviews, the book sounds awful. Sandra Lee, who used to have a show on there called Semi-Homemade Cooking too has a memoir called Made From Scratch that's a very good read.

Read the Sandra Lee book. Really liked it. She was not kind to the Q.
