I read some excellent books this year but Beartown and Us against You by Fredrik Backman are my favs.

@JillyMarie, thanks!  I was never a Stephen King fan because I thought all his books were of the horror genre.  Wow, what a mistake that was. He is one of my favorite authors.  The guy knows how to tell a story.

 

A surprise like that with Dean Koontz would be most welcome!  LM

Just in time, I can add one more favorite book of the year, Once Upon a River by Diane Setterfield.  Fabulous storytelling.
