Re: FICTION OR NON-FICTION SET IN THE UK

The Ruth Galloway series by Elly Griffiths.  I'm currently reading #13 and I love this series.  If you decide to read it be sure to start from the beginning.  It's set around Norfolk, England and the main character lives on the the outer edges in the salt marshes.  Very atmospheric.  She's a forensic archaeologist.  There's always a mystery but nothing gory.

Also want to recommend the Crimson Lake series by Candice Fox.  Set in Australia.  There are 3 books in the series.  The first one is Crimson Lake.

Here are two books set in New Zealand.  They are both by Nalini Singh.  Madness of Sunshine and Quiet In Her Bones.  They are standalone books and both good, but I liked the first one better.

For fiction I suggest books by Kate Morton. They are not quick reads but have interesting characters and plot twists. For non fiction I suggest reading books by Bill Bryson. He is an American but has lived in England for many yeArs.
