@AuntG wrote:@icezeus, @on the bay, I had no idea one of the Amish mysteries I like was made into a movie. I'd love to watch it.
@AuntG - I saw the movie based on Linda Castillo's first book years ago. It was pretty good, although Neve Campbell doesn't look like the Kate portrayed in the book. I think it was on one of the Hallmark channels or a movie of the week, back when those were done. It wasn't ever on the big screen. If I ever see it playing again, I'll come back to this forum and let you know. I enjoy this series too.

The mom of this mother and daughter writing team passed away and this latest book was written by just the daughter (although she said her mom was also guiding her). I haven't read it yet.

I also use to be a James Patterson's Alex Cross fan but haven't picked up an Alex Cross novel in some time, I lost interest a couple of years ago.

I just ordered Patterson's first Alex Cross book ... Along Came A Spider.

*Carl Hiaasen writes funny mysteries, but he doesn't have many recurring characters. A few appear in 2 books, but most are one-shot deals. Skink and the state of Florida are really the only recurring characters that appear in more than two books. Florida is as much a character in a Hiaasen book as any person is.
