@SWEET Andrew Lownie. OOPS! Sorry I didn't think of that. To me the fascinating part is about her scaming people for money and the interplay with people supporting her and scamming from charities she set up. I can't even imagine anyone living like that.

@PA Mom-mom Yes--but so much more as well. I'm not that interested in them that if it were just about them I wouldn't have read as much of it. I was about to quit when it got really interesting about their and especially her finances, then about companies and charities etc.

@Sooner, thanks for the information. If I'm not mistaken Lownie is an author known royally for writing about a specific family.

TIA!
@haddon9 MY bad! It's Andrew Lownie. I didn't put in the names of characters associated with it for two reasons. I don't want to make this about them--it is but the story is so wide ranging it is about many more people then them and situations that apply to many many others, companies, and countries.
Thanks for mentioning this.
@Sooner Thanks! I have Kindle Unlimited and just added the book to my library.

I recommend reading Amazon reviews on this book. For starters, it is independently/privately published with only 37% of readers giving it a five star rating. I always read "sensational" books with a healthy dose of skepticism until proved otherwise. Overall, reviews are mixed.

@Q-Checker Not great literature, but the parts about how people made money, loaned money, gave money, traveled and the dealings with made-up charities and money for speaking engagement were worth the read to me and eye-openers. Don't know if I will finish it or not, but that's just me.
