Mine is an old spare bedroom that’s been made smaller when we enlarged a bathroom. It’s technically now an office, but has not been “prettied-up”. I did get myself an new recliner that fits me, an older footstool, bookcase, and a side table for beverages. My intentions are to pretty up the entire room next year. Right now, it’s the perfect place for quiet ( if I want quiet) while I work through my TBR pile. Also good for cozy naps.

Re: Do you have a reading cave?

Yup.........it's the former dining room -- converted to a "den".    Close to the kitchen and the hall bathroom (!)

Re: Do you have a reading cave?

In the evening I retreat to my bedroom, where I have the best bed ever, with the best, softest sheets ever, and a Northern Nights down blanket I use as a comforter. Aaah. . .

I love to read in bed!

Re: Do you have a reading cave?

I enjoy reading in my living room by the fireplace in my la-z-boy (not purchased on QVC)

with a glass of wine, of course, which generally limits my reading ability!!  LOL

I read in my bedroom on my bed, it is the warmest room in the house, plus if I fall asleep reading (known to happen),  I am can just plop my head down!

Re: Do you have a reading cave?

Well I did. The front room is my office. I put in a chaise lounge, shelves with a sitting area where I do my nails and I put a small tv in there also to help me get through my sluggish work periods. There's a big window that provides excellent lighting for reading. This was supposed to be my little get away from the hubs and his sports channels. Guess who took it over? Yep. I have no idea why. The tv in there is a little 32 inch and the one in the living room is a gigantic monster. I think he loves the chaise because he is a tall man and can stretch out on it comfortably. So I read laid out on the couch. 😐

@CareBears- me too! I love reading in bed; it's my very favorite place. Comfy and cozy!

My bedroom also has the best light, as there are two large windows and 1 small so it has a lot of light to read in the daytime, and a nice breeze in the summer months.  In the winter I just snuggle down with all the  blankets and stack 3 pillow's on my lap, no wonder I often times drift off, LOL

I read all over the house. Yes, I often read in bed but I love to snuggle up on the window seat in the living room, put my feet up on the banquette in the den, or (from spring through fall) settle back in an Adirondack chair on the screened porch.

Re: Do you have a reading cave?

My apartment is small and no where to go, My parakeets drive me nuts when I read in the bedroom for they want attenton from me so if the weather is nice there is a park 10 miles from me where I can sit by the lake and read and feed the ducks if I want.  I also like the local library for they have a coffee bar
