Discovered a good book in my own stash!

This past year, I've been making a point to read more books that I own, whether it's on my Kindle or hard copy books (I know this sounds strange, but I work part-time in a library & always have at least 10 on hold, so I read mostly library books). My piles of books were getting somewhat unruly, so I decided to go through them & weed out what I really didn't want to keep. Initially, I halved what I had in a reading marathon & gave away many that just did not appeal to me. Anyway, I'm reading Elin Hilderbrand's, The Castaways," and am wondering why I didn't pick this up right away, as I'm loving it.

BTW, I'm going to be adding to my dwindling stash of books later this month when a neighboring library has their big summer book sale. Hope to find some series books that I'm missing & replenish my stash for those winter days when nothing but curling up on the sofa with a good book will do.

Your post makes me happy! I got so excited about the book sale coming up. LOL Have fun. I'll have to check out The Castaways.

Be sure to check out Booksalefinder.com to find book sales in your area (only a reading geek will have this site bookmarked). I make sure to take a list of specific books that I'm looking for, otherwise I just go a little whacko selecting what I will bring home.

I do have a list of books that I keep in my purse, in case I drive by a Half Price Book Store.

Re: Discovered a good book in my own stash!

This is awesome.  I love it when I find a book in my stash that is really good, too.  I go to a big book fair locally every summer.  Buy them for a few dollars and have good things to read until next summer's book fair.
