Against All Odds ended up being a very good read, a bit monotonous in parts, but a good story line, I enjoyed it!

I just finished "THE DUCHESS" as well.  It was very good.

Never read any of her books, but now I'm curious .....   does anyone know offhand what was her first novel?

Whatever she does, she has a "system" for writing.   I remember an interview where she said she sometimes has SIX books going at the same time!     

Is that even possible?  

Now just HOW can anyone write six books at the same time?

Her first book was Going Home and it was in 1973.  No idea how she can write so many books in such a short period of time but she cranks them out somehow.

Thanks for the reviews of The Duchess.  I saw this and was interested in reading it.

I love her books.  Some are fantastic, some are okay. I think I got out of reading her stuff during her ghost and robot phase.  I'm glad she's back to her original writing.

Wow !!!

Can anyone tell me .....  are each of these "stand alone" books, or does she do series using one main character for several books in a row?

I looked her up on FictFact, and the information is wrong .... or there is more than one author named Danielle Steel!

As far as I know they are all stand alone books.

I don't believe she's ever done a series.

She's also done poetry, the book about her son and some children's books, which may be a series.

@VaBelle35:  I've read all of the books below except most from 2015-2017 (except for Country) since that's when I retired and stopped going to the library near my job and have too many others to read to go to the library closer to my house.  Don't think I'll catch up to her writing.  LOL. She writes too fast.  I've enjoyed most of her books but can't remember which ones I didn't.  Nothing stands out to me.
