I gave up reading her for a while because her books were so predictable. I really enjoyed The Dutchess though. I also read Accidental Hero’s and liked it too. She just keeps cranking out the books.

What kind of books does she write? Romance?

Totally agree @Nancy Drew. For the past couple of years she seems to have become the writer she was a decade or so back. Never stopped reading her books but did stop buying them many years ago since they were all the same. Library was just easier on the pocket book. Still have all those wonderful hardbacks of her from the 80's and 90's.

Danielle Steel's earlier books were better, though I haven't read her very recent ones. She is too repetitious, and all her characters seem to be the same: rich, look younger than their real age, have children or husbands who don't appreciate them, have successful careers, but something is missing in their lives.
If I decide to read her last two books, it will be library ones. Not sure yet if I want to try reading them.

@Another new name Sue. Yes, more of a modern day romance though.....Her earlier books were really good, then for a while they became really repetitve and predictable. But I guess lately she has been cranking out some good ones again that I will need to catch up on.

I am so way behind on her books. 12 in fact; since I stopped going to the library 3 years ago when I retired. I used to "eat" her books up and read every one of them. There are some recent ones that I deleted since the plot didn't sound good to me.
She has at least 5 more coming out in 2018 and 2019. I don't know how she does it.

I gave up on her a long time ago.
It was like all she did was change the names and tragedy.

@SWEET- the answer is, she doesn't! There's no way she writes all those books! She's got ghostwriters to take care of all that writing. Not that there's anything wrong with that as long as you give credit where credit is due. James Patterson gives the ghosts credit on the covers of his books. Off hand I can't remember who else does that, but there are plenty more.
I found a hard-cover copy of Echoes on my bookshelf. A dear friend sent it to me when she was done, and she told me I'd really enjoy it, as it was like none of her other books. I think I've had it at least ten years but I haven't read it yet. I should take my friend's word for it, as we agreed on many of the same books. She's since passed away and I'd like to read it for my friend. We'll see.

I guess she lies when she states that she has no ghost writers? ![]()
