I am reading The Radcliffe Ladies' Reading Club by Julia Bryan Thomas. The book is set at Radcliffe in 1955, when 4 freshmen begin their college studies. These four young women, who come from very different geographic and cultural backgrounds, are optimistic about the freedom of college life but soon discover that freedom comes with challenges, especially socially.

Finished Miss Julia Stirs Up Trouble (Miss Julia #14) by Ann B. Ross this evening. What a nice change of reading pace!
Funny, cozy, light listening story about Miss Julia minding her business and everyone elses in a small Southern town. Thank you @pachutabelle for recommending this series to another poster this month. Miss Julia reminded me of a person or two in my life. Lots of blast from the past recipes in this book too.
Next read, historical fiction set in Umbria, Italy with Return to Valetto by Dominic Smith. Cheers & Happy Reading!

I finished listening to the following:
SHY CREATURES by Clare Chambers. I more or less enjoyed the story, but conclusion was a little sweet. Inspired by a true story.
THE SEVENTH VEIL OF SALOME by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Although the ending was rushed, I also enjoyed this one. I tend to like Hollywood backstories like this, with an effective use of multiple Audible narrators.
Also finished some Kindle reads the last few days of my trip:
THE HOUSEMAID'S WEDDING by Freida McFadden. Short story that I don't necessarily remember much about. (THE HOUSEMAID IS WATCHING is open on my Kindle, but haven't started and I see a few other preorders have dropped.)
THE BOYFRIEND by Freida McFadden This was a quick, breezy read. I just expect to be entertained by McFadden; I'm not expecting the best book ever written. I think it stuck the ending.
THE HITCHCOCK HOTEL by Stephanie Wrobel.Another quick read - did like the Hitchcock references and the story moved along well. Another one that won't be my favorite of the year, but I didn't hate it either.

Just finished Lost In Thought by Deborah Serra. At first I thought it was your typical find your biological mother and it turned out to be even more.

@Janey2 wrote:@CANDLEQUEEN I would recommend that you try to read the Joseph O'Loughlin books by Michael Robotham in order. The characters do evolve throughout the books.
@Janey2 good to know-Thanks Janey2.

I am reading THIS GIRLS A KILLER, by Emma C. Wells,a first time author. I'm loving it,don't know if I'll love the rest of the story but I'm about 3/4 done. It's about a young woman in Louisiana who is killing men who mistreat women,then sells the body's. It is really funny in some parts. Can't wait to finish it,and hope she's working on something new! She's a excellent writer.

@Epicurean I wouldn't have thought That Girls a Killer is my kind of book, but you've made it sound really good. I just put it on waitlist. Thanks for the review.
