I actually do keep track of my books that I read through Goodreads. I read a lot of series and books by similar authors. It helps me keep track so that I do not repeat a book, which I have done before. I have made errors where I purchase or request the book again, start reading the book and then realize that I have already been here and done that. LOL.

This year, I have not read as many books as I normally would. I have gone through several books where I start reading and I have to PTB so I do not count those. 

I just checked and surprisingly I have only finished 22 books for the year. I am about to wrap up most likely today, one book that I am reading and hopefully will finish at least one more by year end.

I read An Anonymous Girl by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkaneh which was about a girl who sneaks into a psychological study about ethics and morality to earn some extra money and discovers that the situation is much more complex than she would have imagined.

I also read From Here to the Great Unknown by Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough which was Lisa Marie's autobiography that was finished by her daughter. It was interesting but sad. I understand that the audiobook is quite good read by Keough herself and Julia Roberts.

Then a few years ago I started keeping track on Goodreads too and I also enter their yearly reading challenge.

I too read about a book a week-some years a bit more some years less. I guess it depends on what is happening in my "real" life.

I'm so glad that I have the ability to escape into a book.

I feel sad for those who are not readers; they are missing the chance to travel to different times and places and meet "people" who would have never come into their lives otherwise. I also feel I have expanded my education through reading-even if it is fiction you still learn about things that you might never before have thought about.

I just fnished David Baldacci's "To Die For"  He is one of my favorites.

Just started Janet Evanovich's "Now or Never"  31 on the Run.  Stephanie and Lula make me laugh.

I have just discovered that David Rosenfelt of the Andy Carpenter dog series of which I have read all has other series and stand alones.  I have just read "Black and Blue" and another (can't remember the name) about Doug Brock a New Jersey State Police detective and I have another on my reading pile "Airtight",

I have 35 books on my rsereve list at the library and it is either feast or famine - none shipped or too many shipped at once.  I read at lease one book a week, mostly two.

Barbra Taylor Bradford recently passed.  I remember reading her first book "Woman of Sustance" and loving it.  Have read all her books since.

 I also enjoyed the Mitford series especially when life was hectic.  It was like visiting dear friends.  One other series I enjoy for the same reason is the Miss Julia series by Ann B Ross.  If you read them best to begin with the first ( Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind) as the characters develop over time in a small southern community.  Happy reading!

I keep a running list of books through our local library site.  Also I created a TBR list. 

I do it, unfortunately, because I don't remember what I've read.  Many times I would take a book out, read a chapter or 2 and think I'm a psychic.  No ... I read it already!

I have just wrapped up Twisted Prey (Lucas Davenport, #28) by John Sanford. I really enjoyed this story as I do most, but it brought back a person who had gotten away with murder several books ago, and a match of wits with Lucas. 

Next I will be reading Skeleton Canyon (Joanna Brady, #5) by J.A. Jance.

ok guys you got me interested in tracking my reading and reading more. I downloaded the Goodreads app. Will start the 2025 challenge. For me as a senior person, I can only read a couple chapters at a time. My vision gets blurry and eyestrain sets in. But at least I can still read! Like some of you, I've occasionally forgotten that I already read a book. Happens most often with a book series. Now with Goodreads I'm set up for the coming year.

Finished The Christie Affair by Nina Gramont. Fictional tale based on the real life event of Agatha Christie's disappearance in 1926. Gave it a whirl between holds and it was an okay filler. The story was told from the viewpoint of the mistress and very loosely based on Archie Christie's mistress and second wife.
