@KathyM23 wrote:@Judaline I like Joe Pickett too. What book are you reading?
Once in a while I will find a book I think I might like on the new fiction or book stacks and find a new author for me. Most of the time tho I have already read anything I see that I would like on those shelves
I'm reading Breaking Point. I can't remember ever reading this one. It's always a fun ride so I think I'd have remembered if I read it. 2013

I finished Defending Jacob. Such a good book!Makes for a very good Book Club discussion...
I am now reading Such A Good Wife by Seraphina Nova Glass. This is my 3rd book by this author. I enjoy her writing style...I just started, but I can already tell it will be a good book!!!

I would be really sad if this was my reaction when I start to read this book. Michael Connelly is one of my go to authors for a good read.

Two good British mysteries:
Running Grave by Robert Galbraith (J.R. Rowling). Just be aware it is over 900 pages.
Past Lying by Val McDermid

Then you know his style. I don't think you'll be sad or disappointed. It's just my impatience lately. I need action right away, lol. He just doesn't fit my bill anymore. I'll probably be better off watching the Bosh series and the Lincoln Lawyer movies or maybe that's a series, too-been too busy to watch much of anything lately.

I have watched all three series including Bosch Legacy. I definitely recommend Bosch. There are 7 seasons, and they wrap up two books at the end of each season.
Each season was better then the previous one.
Loved it.

Counterfeit by Kirstin Chen was an interesting book. I finished it in 2 days. I hate when an epilogue is disappointing and makes me mad!

@icezeus Oh, great! I'm really looking forward to them. I did see some of the first episodes but somehow they got pushed aside. NOT ANYMORE. I'm in for the long haul.
P.S. Isn't it nice to know what Bosch looks like? I wonder if Michael Connolly had any choice in this?

I'm reading THE LAST DEVIL TO DIE by Richard Osman, I still like the characters Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron, and Ibrahim.

I've read several short books recently.
Melania and Me by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff.
Window Shopping by Tessa Baily which was a rather steamy romance about a woman who was just released from prison who became a window dresser at a department store and she and one of the owners fell in love. Not a very likely story-more of a fantasy.
The Book of Holiday Awesome by Neal Pasricha which just pointed out fun things about many different holidays. Kind of a waste of time.
It Started With a Christmas Tree by Beth Prentice which was a novella about a woman who purchases a live tree with a beautiful ornament hidden in the branches.
Tinsel by Hank Stuever which was about a journalist who spends three Christmases with three families in a town in Texas trying to figure out why people do the things like shopping and decorating at Christmas. I think he was searching for the meaning of Christmas for himself.
