On TV they have been advertising the new movie coming out "Conclave".  I decided to read the book. WOW. Twists and turns galore.  If you plan to go to the movies you ought to read the book first.

Re: Conclave by Robert Harris

It is a fictional about Cardinals choosing a new Pope.  It is set at the Vatican and Sistine Chapel where the voting (the Conclave) takes place.  There is lots and suspense and twists and turns.  It is of course not based on any real Pope, but it has factual information on how a Pope is voted in.

There is a book by Henry Morton Robinson,The Cardinal, which is about the first American Pope. It goes through all the ranks of becoming a priest.

It was made into a movie, starring Tom Tryon.Great acting by John Houston and Burgess Meredith.

Interesting story line about Tom Tryon's sister which is so contemporary.

One of my favorite movies and books.

The sister is played by Carol Lynly.

Think i will request The Conclave from the library.

Have you read some of his other books?  They look like they have rated them very well. I'd like to find a good writer. Thanks.

Depending on your fav type of reading-have you tried John Grishsam. There are many books to read. I remember way back when treking up to the library when I lived in my little house to check out a book by him,The Firm. His first book,A Time to Kill, is great but the film is better.
