If you are a fan of Greco-Roman mythology then this is the book for you. It kind of a fairy tale. Fascinating! Also would make a great film w/specials effects! 

I enjoyed The Song of Achilles also by this author.

Thanks for the reccomendation.

 

Have you read Stephen Frys books.  He puts an entertaining spin on the stories.  I think he has 3 out now.  Troy, Heroes, and Mythos.  

 

I haven't read Troy yet, but I really enjoyed the other two.
