I bought a Linda Castillo book, the Kate Burkholder series. The murder victims are graphically described and there is a fair amount of foul language. At one time it would not have bothered me, but in my ripe old age I dont like it much. I think I will finish it however, then again maybe not.
So I think I will stick with my silly cozy mysteries.
Just a warning for those who might consider this series.

@Imaoldhippie: Thanks for the warning. I don't mind reading murder mysteries, but I don't care for the ones with graphic descriptions.

Thank you @Imaoldhippie for the warning. I had the series queued up to download on audible!

Was that book A Gathering of Secrets? I won that book and read it and don't recall a lot of what you are describing. I guess it doesn't bother me like it bothers some others.

@SWEET..........No its Pray for Silence. The story line is a real mystery and seems good, its just the graphic details and its just the beginning of the book.

I've read the whole series and have the latest on my nightstand. Have a recollection of the murder scenes being depicted, but nothing too outlandish; I'm squeamish so I sometimes skim murder scenes to get through them.

Okay. Wasn't sure. A Gathering of Secrets was my first book by her.

I feel the same way.
I like the Agatha Christie, Cozy mysteries or English village type where they just talk about a body being found and go from there.
I don't want to hear about the details and it can't be too sad, and no animals can be hurt!

Just finished the first book in her series, and am dying to read all the rest. Have them all reserved at the library. The language isn't as bad as that on regular tv shows nowadays. I did find the descriptions gory, but not so bad that I put the book down.
