@lovescats, I was just on Amazon and noticed a link to a list of the best books of 2015 so far and thought of your post. You can find the list here: http://amzn.to/1IcVj9w

They have the top 20 books and the categories, so the best children's books, the best cook books, etc. I can't copy and paste because of the format  they used, but go check it out.

Hey, @lovescats, how about a new list of books every month? I just learned that there's a site that lists thr top 10 new books that librarians across the nation recommend. They just issued the September list, but none of the books are out yet, they're all available for pre-order only right now.

Here's the August list: http://libraryreads.org/august-2015-libraryreads-list/

Best Boy, by Eli Gotlieb

The Nature of the Beast: A Chief Inspector Gamache Novel, by Louise Penny

A Window Opens, by Elisabeth Egan

The Marriage of Opposites,  by Alice Hoffman

Everybody Rise, by Stephanie Clifford

The Fall of Princes, by Robert Goolrick

In a Dark, Dark Wood, by Ruth Ware (NPR featured this last week)

Black Eyed Susans, by Julia Heaberlin

Lord of the Wings: A Meg Langslow Mystery, by Donna Andrews

Browsings: A Year of Reading, Collecting, and Living with Books, by Michael Dirda

Click around the site. You'll find their top recommendations for each month going back to Septemeber 2013. You can also sign up for a newsletter and they will mail you the new list for each month. Smiley Happy
