I have just finished reading Still see you everywhere by Lisa Gardiner. Not usually one of my favorites but this book was really interesting and very surprising near the end. It sure kept me guessing. I recommend it for thriller mystery fans.

I am reading The Truth about the Devlins by Lisa Scottoline.
She is one of my favorite writers, but I am having some trouble getting into this one. Hope I become more interested in these characters.
Next month's book club read is Lisa See's Lady Tan's Circle
of Women.

I am 100 pages in on The Hunter, Tana French. This is her newest book. I am a fan. Finding this one a bit slow moving so far.

I have Lisa Scottoline's book waiting for me to read it soon. I read Lady Tan's Circle of Women for my last book club meeting. It is a good read; I did cringe when I read the descriptions of the mother binding the feet on her little girls. It was all to make the young women attractive for their future husbands. There's a lot more to the book than that, but that was very vivid for me. All-in-all, it is a very good book.

Lisa's book Loyalty I returned without finishing, not even close to finishing. Little boy kidnapped and put into a prison with grown crazy men. Nope not going to read that. It may have been fine but I just could not go there. I am on hold for The Devin's.

One by One by Freida McFadden (takes place in the woods, lots of twists).
She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubika (a tense, compelling thriller).

@RetRN I just picked up both of these books at the library yesterday. Haven't started reading them yet. I think I will read One by One first as I have never read a McFadden book, but heard of her on this post and I immediately went to the library website and reserved one of her earlier books. Sounds good and I see another one in Coming Soon at Barnes and Nobel website.

I am reading The Truth About the Devlins and am enjoying it thus far. Do not always care for Scottoline's books but this grabbed me from the beginning.

I couldn't finish Lisa Scottoline's Loyalty either. It was just not my style and couldn't get past page 25 or something like that. The subject was just too disturbing from the start. It's the first book of hers that I didn't though I loved Eternal. Need to read The Truth About the Devlins.

Happy National Poetry Month April 2024!
I enjoy reading a variety of poetry and always pick new (to me) poets to read during April.
Just finished Lord of the Butterflies by Andrea Gibson. Very raw and moving work in this collection by this American poet and activist. Andrea is currently Colorado's Poet Laureate.
