I saw an offer for BookBub which says they will email me daily book deals.  However they asked for my email address before I could proceed and my DH reminded me of other offers I accepted which only filled up my email with spam.  Could anyone tell me more about BookBub and if it a legitimate site?

I get their e-mails with no problem. Some of the free downloads are great.

I love it.  Some ebooks cost more than paperbacks and with Bookbub I get a lot of great prices.  Some are even free.  They will send you a choice of your preferences.  I've been getting their emails everyday for about three years, I think.  I look forward to it.

I love BookBub!  I have it set to only get an email from them once a week.  You can pick the subject you'd like to see, like Mysteries or Science fiction, and they'll only send you info on those deals. They send you from free to $2.99 on ebooks.  Then you go to Barnes & Noble or Amazon to actually purchase the ebooks.  If you like to read, it's a nice way to discover new authors.

Just be advised that books you see on Bookbub Featured Deals are there because their authors paid for them to be listed. The minimum price is $70 for a free science book which will result in an average of 5600 downloads. The priciest is $2535 for Crime Fiction novels priced at $2+. Books only show up on Bookbub's Featured Deal if the authors pay.

I love Book Bub too.  I have discovered a few authors that I enjoy and would otherwise not know about.  I am not bothered by any spam email from them, or Book Bub related sites.
