Visiting the Zell Family

by ‎10-13-2017 01:17 PM - edited ‎10-13-2017 03:55 PM

This past April, we hired some new hosts to help cover all three channels we now have: QVC, QVC2 and Beauty IQ.  Kristine Zell came from North Carolina, but is originally from my home state of MN.  She arrived with her husband, Jeff, her toddler son, Mason, and a baby on the way.  She was able to be on air for most of July but gave birth late that month.  Now she is coming back to the Q next week - Tuesday October 17th - so I went to visit her since it is her last week at home on maternity leave.

First, Kristine looks great!  She's beautiful inside and out, but she is also very physically fit, so she's not one to keep the baby weight long.

When I arrived, baby Lila was getting sleepy, so we quick took pictures before she fell asleep.

Kristine said she's a very good baby, although she's not a great sleeper yet.  But even though she doesn't take long naps, she is happy, not fussy, so she likes knowing what's going on and not missing out on anything!

Her son, Mason, is a true little sweetheart and getting more used to having Lila around.  At first, he wasn't so sure he liked having another baby in the house.  So normal!!!  Jeff is a big help, because he does a lot of his work out of their home, so he can pitch in whenever needed.

Of course, Turbo, the dog, is the comic relief.

He is so funny, the way he lays across the back of the sofa!  It's like the perfect sized pillow for him.  He's protective of the parents and kids but very friendly at the same time.

As I held Lila, my mind went back to when our daughter Elizabeth was that little. That was 18 years ago.  At the same time, my mind was also thinking ahead to next spring when our first grandchild is due and what it will be like to have a new baby in our family.  It's been so long for me that I'll be asking Kristine for advice.

Kristine is a wonderful mom and wife, but also such a sweet and kind woman who is so caring about others!  I hope you get the opportunity to watch her next week and for many years to come as she becomes an integral part of our QVC family and yours!  God bless the Zells and you, too!

Blessings,

Mary Beth
