I love throwing parties that include activities -- so a “Vision Board Party” was right up my alley. In case you don't know, a Vision Board is a collage of images, words and sayings that inspire you to achieve your goals. I invited a group of my friends known as the “Divas”, and we had a great time being creative and crafting vision boards to focus attention on our dreams, wishes and values. It was a wonderful afternoon of friendship and fun!
The “Divas” are a group of friends who get together every few months for fun times
The end of summer timing made sunflowers the perfect decoration for the party. I made a “Vision Vino Sangria” and served a summer picnic themed meal. (I’ll do a separate blog with the Sangria recipe -- it was terrific if I do say so myself!)

Supplies for my Vision Board Party were pretty simple. I provided cork boards, scissors, markers, rulers, and glue sticks. I gave each guest a craft apron filled with their supplies. I had the aprons embroidered with the word “Diva” in honor of my friends. I set up tables in my den to give everyone plenty of room to work, and I put out magazines, stickers, and craft supplies for everyone to use.

Magazines work well for making vision boards
There are no rules when it comes to making a Vision Board. Clippings, photos, poems, keepsakes. Anything that inspires and motivates you can become a part of the board. The Divas were all very creative (the “Vision Vino Sangria” may have helped a little...) Once everyone completed their board, each person had a chance to show it off, and share their vision. It was empowering, uplifting, and so much fun!

I highly recommend making a vision board with your friends and family. It's a great way to see your hopes and dreams as you make them come true!
