With only eight weeks to go until the birth of Baby Kerr, I think my maternal instinct is finally starting to kick in. Today I stopped by Petsmart to pick up some food for Bella and I almost left the store with a parakeet and a chinchilla. I wanted to hold and pet every little creature in the store, even the lizards! I chalk it up to the hormones. I did get a good chuckle while watching the lizards; they were all piled on top of one another trying to get a spot underneath the heat lamp. As I was taking a picture of this lizard mountain, they lost their balance and toppled over. Too funny! 

Anywho, at this point in my pregnancy, I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and not so attractive. I’ve already outgrown some of my maternity clothes and my shoes are too tight. My husband compliments me every day but he has to do that because he’s my husband! Of course I’m excited for the arrival of the baby (and very nervous!), but there are also a few other things going on that have been a nice distraction.

The nursery is coming along nicely and should be finished soon. The crown molding and chair rail have been installed and the wallpaper hung. Judson should finish up the last of the painting this week, and the custom curtains should come in any day now. Also, my baby shower is this weekend and I can’t wait to catch up with all my girlfriends who I haven’t seen in forever. The theme is a tea party and my mother and mothers-in-law (I have two of them, lucky me!) are throwing it for me.  My husband is the designated photographer, so next week I promise to share photos from the shower. 

Another great distraction is work. I plan on working right up to my due date, so my last day on air is January 8. Every Monday, I look forward to PM Style to get a fashion and beauty fix while hanging out with my girls. If you missed last week’s show, you missed a good one. We surprised Lisa by celebrating her birthday with cake, presents, and a phone call from her best friend, Kym, all the way in South Africa! We got Lisa so good and her reaction was priceless! By the way, model Kate made the most delicious carrot cake for Lisa which she decorated with chandelier crystals. It was so beautiful and so Lisa!

You don’t want to miss PM Style this Monday because we have a special-edition four-hour show planned. You never know what may happen, but I can tell you Nicole Richie will be stopping by along with Lori Goldstein, Mally Roncal, and Isaac Mizrahi!  It's a jam-packed show with lots of brand-new items from the luxurious (cashmere and leather) to the budget-conscious (several items under $30).
