The CFDA Awards- Glamour & Excitement- Pinch Me!

Hi Ladies! Where do I start? I just had a surreal two days in New York City and I can't wait to fill you in. I had to pinch myself over and over and over and here's why.

It all began on Sunday when I left Steve in a half unpacked house and was whisked away to NYC by car service (first pinch).

It was just Courtney and I and a very nice driver and he pulled us rightt up in front of where we were staying, THE FOUR SEASONS (second pinch). We quickly had to get to work so after checking in and getting my suitcase unpacked it was straight to the QVC suite where our PR team awaited us. We had to learn about the nominees, the presenters, the designers who would be attending, celebrities and models who were invited, and if I didn't have a love for fashion it might have been overwhelming but it was a joy to take all that info in.

When our meeting was finished, off to DENNIS BASSO'S BOUTIQUE (third pinch)! Dennis was kind enough to open the store just for Courtney, me and our QVC crew. He let us try on anything we wanted!! We decided that we wanted to do short because the red carpet can get packed and we didn't want to get trampled on. We also didn't want to look like complete opposites of each other so we made sure our dresses didn't clash. I loved my choice! The tiers, the belt, the mesh neck line, everything. Between you and me it was the most expensive garment I have ever had on my body and that alone made me feel regal.

After that the QVC family all had a delicious dinner together where I completely over indulged (see pics). Calamari, bread, pasta, meatballs, cheese, and a 20 layer cake. Yes, we all shared but I think I had the most.

I went to bed excited to wake up and not just because the awards were the following night but because the morning was beginning with shoe shopping with Dennis Basso (fourth pinch). The cool thing about Dennis is he isn't just a designer but he takes into consideration the whole look. He wanted to make sure that Courtney and I were completing our look so off to Bergdorf Goodman we went. Please don't think I'm bragging, I really am just sharing and it was an exciting part of the adventure so you need to know what shoes I was wearing, MANOLO BLAHNIK'S (fifth pinch)!

I could have stayed in Bergdorf's all day but we headed right back to the hotel for lunch and a quick review of the evening. I think I was too excited to focus but I asked what questions I needed to and went off to hair and makeup. Hair and makeup was cool because typically at QVC we have one artist who does both but for this event we had a separate artist for each. I loved the final look they each created and I don't know if you realized this but I had extensions on one side of my hair. In fact as I write this to you right now, they are still in! Let's hope they come out with shampoo tonight because otherwise I don't know what to do.

When hair and makeup finished it was time to climb into that beautiful dress. Dress was zipped, Manolo's were on, body bronzer was applied, and JUDITH RIPKA DIAMONDS arrived (sixth pinch)! My jewelry was a bangle bracelet scattered with diamonds and chandelier earrings that just glistened. Not gonna lie I was a little nervous to wear them but once they were on I wasn't taking them off until the end of the night. The whole look had come together. We posed for pics, we gathered what we needed, and it was off into the car in time for the red carpet.

What happened next was just too fun, too quick, too exciting, and too totally fashionably awesome too explain. Designer, model, celebrity, after designer, model, celebrity. I was in heaven!! SEVENTH PINCH, EIGHTH PINCH, NINTH PINCH, PUNCH!! Girls, I will share so much more with you when Inspired Style starts but let me just tell you if I could have taken you with me I would have. QVC is part of the fashion world and it was amazing to witness. We talked to more red carpet walkers than any other media outlet there. Kid you not, people were asking ME who I was wearing. I get excited all over again just telling you!
