That's a WRAP!

Hello my LCNY fashionistas. We are just a couple of days away from Christmas and the hustle and bustle is full steam ahead.

I have a couple more items to pick up and then the wrapping begins. My family cannot understand why I wait to the last minute to wrap. I too have pondered why I leave that momentous task to the very last possible minute. I have come up with every rationale thought, but the truth remains.......if it is not wrapped I know what I have and I will not lose or forget where I put it.

Several years ago I decided to wrap as I purchased. Each child had different color-coordinated wrapping paper, so I knew who got what. My days of being extremely organized were well intended. Well, as you have probably guessed where I am going with this story ....  I lost, misplaced, could not find one particular gift for one of my children (who will remain nameless) since they read my blog. I hunted everywhere. The basement .....the garage...my secret hiding place for gifts.... it was nowhere to be found. I rechecked my receipts and it had been purchased. I even unwrapped all of the gifts trying to find it. The missing gift was not to be found. You need to know this was the gift that was HIGH on the list for Santa to bring. You know how this goes ......back out to the stores to re-buy. But by now everyone in the world wanted this item from Santa. I was so upset I could not find the original purchase and trust me, securing a second was becoming a problem.

Larry, who was traveling at the time was on a trip and called to let me know that he had secured the purchase in another city. Alas, crisis overted. To this day the original gift has never been found. A couple of years ago when I moved I thought for sure it would turn up.....no such luck. So, back to the beginning of my story.....I need to spend an evening with my Christmas music on and WRAP...but at least I will know where everything isSmiley Happy.
