Thanksgiving with Alberti!

I don’t think there is a more anticipated or talked about meal in the entire calendar year that trumps the all satisfying Thanksgiving Feast! Every household works equally as hard to put on the very best dining experience for friends and family, and in my house I strive to keep that same tradition alive.  I’ve been sharing various recipes weekly on my FACEBOOK page, but here is one more easy twist to your mashed potatoes that will leave your guests OooOOooo-ing and AAAaaahhhh-ing at the dinner table.

Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

5lbs of peeled and boiled russet potatoes

1 stick of salted butter

1 cup of sour cream

1 cup of freshly grated parmesan cheese

1 cup of half & half

2 tblsp garlic paste

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Peel then boil your russet potatoes until they pierce easily with a fork. Drain water and transfer to a bowl.
  2. Using a Kitchen Aid hand mixer, begin whipping the potatoes by adding butter, sour cream, and half & half.
  3. Continue whipping and add garlic paste and parmesan cheese.
  4. Season to taste.
  5. Transefer to a 9x11 baking pan and bake for 30 minutes at 375F.
  6. Remove when top layer is browned and has formed a slight crust.
